Uncharted: I think I fucked up!
Dec. 13th, 2017 11:59 pm While I worked on my Last of Us fic - yes, that one I've been sitting on since the Part II was first announced - I decided to go to my writing tag on Tumblr and boy did I find some good stuff:
- A fic set after Among Thieve's ending. In this ficlet, Nate tries to cook Elena a nice dinner (it's her first day at work after the Shambhala Accident and all) and instead he burns down her whole fucking kitchen;
- A fic set after Drake's Deception. In this, Nate steals Sully's wallet - he's showing off to Elena, even if Sully was the one who taught some of the tricks he goes for - and Sully does realize that but just goes, "Whatever I'm broke." Because we all know all treasure hunters are broke, especially these two;
- Another fic set after Drake's Deception, where Charlie/Chloe is the main pairing - this was pre-Lost Legacy and I still have conflicted feelings about these because I love both these pairings - where Chloe wants to get her ears pierced and Charlie goes with her;
- Now, now, now, imagine: Baby!Chloe and Baby!Nate, both of them are young and stupid and think they're Totally In Love With Each Other (which might be true from Chloe's part?) Nate finds her passport and her middle name is something Super Classic and Girly (is that the right word) and he starts making fun of her for it. IMAGINE THE CUTENESS!!!
Yes I ship the hell out of Baby!Nate and Baby!Chloe, both of them in their early twenties and loving each other
Last of Us: Slowly, but surely
Dec. 13th, 2017 03:18 pmAfter doing anything but writing for the past, I don't know, eight months, my Last of Us fic is finally starting to come together. This one takes place after Part I ended and I've been sitting on it since the first trailer came out - yes, that one where Ellie is fucking pissed and singing. So far, I'm happy with how things are turning out and I hope that by the end of December I'll have published Chapter 1 and get started on Chapter 2. Wish me luck!
For a long time now, Ellie has heard stories about places like Jackson - most of those takes place before the Outbreak, and all of them sound too good to be true. If she hadn’t stepped in it before, hadn’t seen the small buildings surrounded by houses filled with healthy, happy families with her own two eyes, she wouldn’t have believed it. No kid that grows up being tossed around Quarantine Zones would, spending their whole lives around poverty and diseases, their living conditions being better than most people’s or not.
A few days ago I was playing Uncharted: Lost Legacy (again) and for a moment I had completely forgotten about Chloe's Ganesha figurine (?) and as I heard Chloe explain to Nadine what it was and why she had it, my mind went for Uncharted: Among Thieves, and I couldn't get the image of Harry seeing Chloe "paying with it" per se out of my head and, well, this happened:
This is just a fragment and there's much more to it, but for now, I'm dissing Harry Flynn and I just love it! And man, do I miss these idiots together!

“Nothing,” Chloe says, “Just my, ah, my stress relief.”
“I thought I was your stress relief,” At his statement, Chloe couldn’t help herself but laugh - loud enough to be considered an insult, the mood Harry was trying to set gone as soon as the sound left her mouth. Those past few days, he had been the source of all of her stress, not the relief she had been seeking.
